Sam is a Registered Music Therapist with a Master of Creative Music Therapy from Western Sydney University. She has also completed a Bachelor of Arts (Music) at Macquarie University. She is classically trained in piano and has used these skills conjunct with her passion for music education to teach piano, voice, and music theory to children and adults. Sam is also trained in clarinet and guitar.

Sam has experience working with children and adults with various disabilities in clinical and community settings, family community playgroups, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, and aged care settings. She has also worked in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary allied health teams and appreciates the importance of collaboration across disciplines.

Utilising a holistic and strength-based approach in her work. She embraces the strengths and abilities of the individual and uses this as a catalyst to assist clients in reaching their goals. She is passionate about facilitating individualised sessions to empower clients to engage in personal, meaningful therapeutic experiences. She values working from a family-centred lens, involving families and carers in her sessions to encourage the extension of music therapy outcomes across multiple contexts.
