Grace Elliott

Registered Music Therapist

AMTA Registered Music Therapist, Master of Creative Music Therapy, B.A Media (contemporary music)

Grace holds a Media degree with a focus on contemporary music production and performance from Macquarie University, as well as a Master of Creative Music Therapy from Western Sydney University, where she was awarded the Dean’s Medal in 2020. Her primary instruments are piano and voice, and she is also skilled in guitar and drums/percussion.

Grace has a foundation in special education, having previously worked in schools and support units for children and adolescents with disabilities. She now works in a clinical setting, where her primary focus remains supporting young people. Through music, she helps participants express themselves, build connections, and work toward their developmental, emotional, and social goals.

Alongside her work with young people, Grace also supports a diverse range of participants, including teens and adults experiencing mental health challenges, older adults (60+), people living with memory loss, and individuals with physical disabilities.

Grace draws on her strengths in improvisation, rhythm, and aural skills to form strong therapeutic connections and adapt music in flexible, creative ways. Her approach is centred on using music to build capacity, support meaningful engagement, and help each participant work toward their individual goals in a supportive and empowering way.
