Pete McDonald is a private music teacher with 16 years’ experience. Having a Jazz performance background (graduating from his Bachelor of Music with the Student of the Year award), Pete has outstanding ability in using both traditional and non-traditional methods in his teaching.

Pete McDonald has a Master of Music Therapy and has trained in Neurologic Music Therapy. He currently combines private music teaching and clinical work, enjoying working with children with special needs, adults with disability and clients with dementia. One of Pete’s many strengths is his ability to connect with clients in a fun and engaging way to help them achieve their goals.

His work with children with special needs has included teaching piano to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and providing music therapy services for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia, KU Children’s Services; Hebersham Public School (Autism unit) and The Ponds School.
