Meet Arrill and his music therapist, Seb. Together, they have been working on helping Arrill to share and express his emotions through musical play and verbal discussion, as well as increase his ability to sustain and extend a conversation for longer periods of time.

In one of his sessions, Arrill came in feeling tired, sad, and anxious. As Seb explored a little deeper, it became clear that Arrill had been troubled by a recurring dream about a tornado. During the session, Seb helped Arrill compose a song about the dream that had been on his mind.

We love how descriptive the lyrics are – an excellent example of using songwriting to work through ‘big’ feelings for kids. Wonderful composition, Arrill!
